Ground breaks on structural addition, nearly doubling office space to house staff that has reached over 100 employees.

SportsDirect Inc., the leader in online sports information for the gaming enthusiast, today announced the expansion of the company to include a new office in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as the construction of a bigger office at its Halifax, Nova Scotia headquarters. This expansion is being done to accommodate a staff that has doubled in the last two years to reach 100 employees.
The new office in Canada adds almost 23,000 square feet to the existing structure at 77 Chain Lake Drive in Halifax. Construction on the new wing of the SportsDirect Inc. headquarters started in July with completion scheduled for December 2005. This new office space will house the companies rapidly growing marketing and operational staff.
The Nevada office of SportsDirect Inc. will serve as headquarters for business development and partnership activities in the area as well as provide an office for the company’s Las Vegas based writers and analysts. This new office is located near the heart of “the Strip” at 3960 Howard Hughes Parkway, Las Vegas, NV.
“Our facilities haven’t been able to keep up with pace of our business. The expansion in Halifax will give us lots of room for our growing staff and infrastructure for the foreseeable future,” said Paul Lavers, founder and CEO of SportsDirect Inc. “Opening an office in the entertainment and betting capital of the world, Las Vegas, makes sense for us.
