Company successfully judged against 78 other applicants by Globe and Mail Report on Small Business Magazine.

The report, compiled by the Queen’s University School of Business and Hewitt Associates, a human resources firm, ranked 79 leading small companies based on employee opinions, organizational practices and attitudes of the leadership team. In addition to the first place honours, SportsDirect Inc. received top marks for work/life balance and work environment in the survey categories. The Globe and Mail also noted SDI for its employee benefits program such as “extra compensation…from shares in the firm after the first year to bonuses for referring successful hires.”
